INSTALLATION CHALLENGES:
At Appalachian State University we worked on
a combination of re-roofing projects and new
installations simultaneously. This presented
a staging area challenge, as space is always
a premium on college campuses. School was
also in session at the time, so noise
reduction and safety concerns were a
priority.
In the initial planning stages of this
project, we surveyed the campus to find an
area that would be as centralized as
possible for materials. Our staging area was
selected for its discreteness and for being
in a location that would not upset the
day-to-day traffic on campus. We scheduled
our work hours and zones based on campus
activity levels, keeping inconveniences and
distractions to a minimum. |
